Robert Grudzinski
Robert Grudzinski, age 57, died Sunday, October 5, 2008, at the Veterans Hospital in Omaha. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 9th at the Aurora Cemetery. The family requests casual attire for those attending the service. Rev. Jim Garfield will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 – 5 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. OBITUARY: ROBERT GRUDZINSKI Robert Alan Grudzinski, the son of Henry I. and Marguerite A. (Cotton) Grudzinski, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on January 14, 1951 and died in Omaha, Nebraska on October 5, 2008, at the age of 57 years. He grew up in Aurora and enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1971 through 1975 and served in the Vietnam theater. Bob’s working life was spent in several construction occupations. He was a part of many construction projects in Aurora/Hamilton, Merrick and Hall Counties, as well as some out of state work. Bob was very involved in activities with his numerous friends and their families. Fishing was a favorite pastime. He was an enthusiastic motorcyclist while his health and events permitted. Bob was a member of the V.F.W. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Grudzinski. Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Max (Shirley) Grudzinski of Aurora; two sisters, Joann (Gordon) Leaf of Divide, Colorado and Karen (David) Heckman of Lincoln; nephews, Clayton (Amy) Grudzinski of Aurora, Jeff (Anne) Leaf of Lincoln, Chris Heckman of Tempe, Arizona and Jon Heckman of Denver, Colorado; nieces, Sandi (Carl) Rooney of Clearwater, Florida, Crystal (Jason) Dieckmann of Aurora and Stephanie (Walter) Hilliard of Munford, Tennessee and many friends. |
