Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 16, 1984 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Dora Guilford

Dora Mabel Guilford, the daughter of John W. and Florence (Liebhart) McClay, was born March 20, 1898, at Aurora, Nebraska, and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska, on July 11, 1984, at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 21 days.

Most of her life was spent in Hamilton County, and on July 3, 1918, she was united in marriage to Bert Guilford at Aurora. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1972. After their marriage they farmed near Aurora until 1949, when they moved to Hall County. They spent a short time in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was affiliated with the Calvary Baptist Church, and had been saved through work with Pastor Winebarger.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Dale Bert Guilford, and two sisters, Fannie Masters and Anna Zimmerman.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Vancil, with whom she made her home in Grand Island; two daughters, Maxine Stenson of Aurora and Alberta Heintz of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother John W. McClay of Central City; 3 sisters, Effie Nelson of West Minster, California, Nellie Watson of Lincoln and Nettie Phillips of Aurora; two grandchildren, Dennis Stenson of Aurora and Connie Beckett of Grass Valley, California and great-granddaughter, Brandy Stenson of Aurora.
