Anna GustafsonFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 30, 1979 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held at Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mrs. Anna E. Gustafson Anna E. Gustafson, the daughter of Karl Johan and Anna Anderson Landerholm, was born at Katrine Holm, Vastergotland, Sweden on October 22, 1882. Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska May 27, 1979, having attained the age of 96 years 7 months and 5 days. She spent her early childhood in her native land. In 1901 she left that land to come to America. She came first to Omaha and later to Hamilton County, where she has resided most of the time since. On February 15, 1911 she was united in marriage to Harald Waldemaor Gustafson at Aurora. They farmed near Phillips, Nebraska for three years, moving to a farm near Loup City in 1914. They resided there until 1919 when they returned to Hamilton County, where there farmed in the Monroe Precinct until their retirement in 1957, at which time they moved into Aurora. Her husband preceded her in death on May 4, 1963. Mrs. Gustafson was a longtime member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church and was active in Church attendance and Church affairs, as long as her health permitted. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by one half brother, one half sister; two brothers and three sisters. Her survivors are her one son, Harald and his wife, Amy of Aurora; two granddaughters, Mrs. Judith Lott of Fairmont, Nebraska and Mrs. Arlene Gimpel of Aurora; four great grandchildren and other relatives and many close friends. |
