John Gustafson

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 27, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: John Gustafson

John Gustaf Gustafson, the son of Andrew and Leontine (Orr) Gustafson, was born on January 7, 1898, at Phillips, Nebraska, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 25, 1983, at the age of 85 years, 8 months and 18 days.

He grew up near Phillips and attended country school and also attended agriculture college in Lincoln.

On March 30, 1922, he was united in marriage to Elsa Forsman at the Monroe Parsonage. They farmed near Phillips after marriage and in 1974 they moved into Aurora.

John was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ben, Joe, Reuben and Ted and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Larson and Mrs. John Rodabaugh.

Those who survive to cherish his memory are his wife Elsa; one sister Mrs. Ollie Forsman of Aurora and many nieces, nephews and other close friends.
