Myrtle GustafsonFuneral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 21, 1985 at Monroe Evangelical Free Church. Interment was held in the Monroe Church Cemetery. OBITUARY: Myrtle Gustafson Myrtle Hilda Gustafson, the daughter of Nils and Anna (Olson) Pearson, was born in Phelps County, Nebraska, on April 5, 1894, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 17, 1985, at the age of 91 years, 2 months and 7 days. She grew up in Phelps County and on December 27, 1916, she was united in marriage to Walter Benjamin Gustafson at Holdrege, Nebraska. Ben preceded her in death on May 25, 1965. For 3 years after their marriage they farmed in Hamilton County and then they moved to a farm near Holdgrege where they lived for 4 years. They then returned to Hamilton County where they continued to farm. In 1977 Myrtle moved to Aurora and for the past several years has resided at the Hamilton Manor. She was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church and was active in church activities and a member of WMS. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Florence Pearson, and 2 brothers, Edwin and Wesley Pearson. Those who remain to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Stanley and Eugene, both of Phillips; 2 daughters, Miss Ann Gustafson of Lincoln and Mrs. Delores Wendell of Axtell; 2 brothers, Herb Pearson of North Platte and Milford Pearson of Portland, Oregon; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends. |
