Olga GustafsonFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 20, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Olga Gustafson Olga Sophia Gustafson, the daughter of Frans and Christine (Swenson) Gustafson, was born on September 28, 1894, in Hamilton County, Nebraska, and passed away at Denver, Colorado, on April 15, 1983, at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 17 days. She received her education in the public schools in Hamilton County and grew to womanhood in the Aurora area, and cared for her parents and a brother. She went to Colorado in August of 1940, to serve as a housekeeper for Mrs. James J. Waring, where she was employed for 20 years. Olga was baptized and confirmed in the Covenant Church, where she was a member. She served as choir director and pianist for many years. She was also a charter member of the Covenant Women’s Auxiliary, organized on January 23, 1936. Among the churches she attended in Denver was the Salvation Army. Those who preceded her in death were her parents, three sisters, Augusta and Ellen Gustafson and Maria Landerholm, four brothers, Wally, Daniel, Fran and Carl B. Gustafson, Sr. Survivors are two nephews, Harald Gustafson of Aurora; Carl Gustafson, Jr. of Boise, Idaho; one niece Mrs. (Marion) Reed Mortimer of Rexburg, Idaho; several great nieces and nephews and many close friends. |
