Rick GustafsonFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 23, 1989 at the Evangelical Free Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Monroe Church Cemetery. OBITUARY: Rick Gustafson Rick Alan Gustafson, the son of Philip and June (Carlson) Gustafson, was born March 9, 1955, at Tandala, Zaire, Africa, and passed away at Montgomery, Alabama, on October 14, 1989, at the age of 34 years, 7 months, and 5 days. His family moved to Aurora, and he attended District #59 in Hamilton County. He lived in Griffin, Georgia, from 1960 to 1965, when he moved to Prospect Heights, Illinois. In 1970, he moved to Aurora, and graduated from Aurora High School in 1973. Rick attended Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois and Kearney State College where he graduated in 1981, with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. He earned a Masters degree and completed the academic work for his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Fresno, California. He was still working toward completing his doctorate. At the time of his death he was working at LeMoyne Clinic as a clinical psychologist in Mobile, Alabama, working primarily with children and adolescents with severe problems. Rick is survived by his parents, Phil and June Gustafson of Aurora; 2 brothers, Ron and Randy, both of Lincoln, his grandmother, Signe Carlson of Aurora; one niece and other relatives. |
