Victor Gustafson

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 29, 1993 at Monroe Evangelical Free Church near Murphy, Nebraska. Interment was held in the Monroe Church Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Victor Gustafson

Victor Carl Gustafson, the son of Oscar and Anna (Nelson) Gustafson, was born on a farm near Phillips, Nebraska, on September 11, 1901, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 26, 1993, at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

He attended country school near Phillips, and worked on his parents farm near Murphy.

On May 2, 1942, he was united in marriage to Ellen Elge, at Aurora. After their marriage they farmed in the west Monroe Area, and Victor worked at the Murphy Elevator during the fertilizer season until he was in his mid-seventies. He also did custom corn shelling and harvesting with Elton Elge. Ellen preceded him in death on January 26, 1984. After her death he continued to live on the farm until he entered the Hamilton Manor in 1986.

Victor faithfully attended the Monroe Evangelical Free Church until his health failed.

He enjoyed his nieces and nephews, traveling to visit relatives, and raising a large garden and many kinds of flowers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, a half-brother, James Gustafson, and 2 half-sisters, Ebba Gustafson and Esther Gustafson Elge.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Elton Elge of Aurora, a sister-in-law, Lillian Tollander of Omaha, and many nieces and nephews.
