Violet GustafsonFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 31, 1988 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Violet Gustafson Violet Vera Gustafson, the daughter of Joseph and Ebba (Johnson) Veed, was born at Lincoln, Nebraska, on August 13, 1910, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 28, 1988, at the age of 78 years and 15 days. She graduated from District #74 near Hordville in Hamilton County in 1926. On March 19, 1930, she was married to C. Walter Gustafson at Aurora, Nebraska, and they remained Hamilton County residents for all but on of their 58 years of marriage, living near Hordville, Hampton and in the Marquette area until 1982. Violet was a resident of Aurora for the past 5 years. She was baptized at and remained a member of the United Methodist Church in Marquette. Besides working with her husband in their farming operations, she served as cook for the Marquette Schools for many years and also at the Litzenberg Memorial Hospital in Central City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter on August 17, 1988; one son Charles; brothers Walt, Glen and Clarence Veed; and one sister Lillian Kelley. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Eldon of Phillips and Royce of Aurora; 3 daughters, Donna Erlenbusch of Omaha, Connie Nissen of Hampton and Karen Cox of Aurora; one brother, Lawrence Veed of Central City and one sister Velma McAllister of Grand Island; one aunt Gertie Anderson of Denver, Colorado; 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. |
