Phyllis Haack

Phyllis Haack, age 67, of Aurora died Saturday, August 20, 2005, at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 27th at Assembly of God Church in Aurora. Rev. Jim Garfield will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery in Hastings at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. OBITUARY: PHYLLIS HAACK

Phyllis Jean Haack, the daughter of George Leroy and Zella (Campbell) Butterbaugh, was born in Hebron, Nebraska on February 1, 1938 and died in Jacksonville, Florida on August 20, 2005, at the age of 67.

She grew up in Hebron and moved with her family to Hastings in the early 1950's. Phyllis graduated from Hastings High School in 1956.

Phyllis was united in marriage to Jerry Sherman Haack, Sr. on January 9, 1960 at the First Christian Church in Hastings. They moved to the Hamilton County area and that is where she spent most of her adult life.

Phyllis was a member of Assembly of God Church in Aurora. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Haack, Sr. of Aurora; three sons, Michael D. Haack of Hastings, David W. Haack of Aurora and Jerry S. Haack, Jr. of Woodbine, Georgia; three daughters, Leslie R. Worth of Naples, Florida, Rebecca S. Bussinger of Alda and Carol L. Berney of Aurora; 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Phyllis is also survived by her sister, Marlyn Scribner of Hastings and special family friends, Grover Camp of Springfield, Missouri and Bernadette Kasmanchy of Aurora.
