Margaret Haag

Margaret Haag, age 81, of Aurora died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at her home in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 16th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Fr. Craig Doty will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 P.M. OBITUARY: MARGARET HAAG

Margaret Leah Haag, the daughter of Frederick Lorenzo Dow and Rose Margaret (Anglin) Sweetland, was born in Orient, South Dakota on February 7, 1924 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on April 13, 2005, at the age of 81.

She grew up and graduated from high school in Orient, South Dakota.

Margaret was married to Earl George Haag on May 9, 1944 at Orient, South Dakota. She raised her family and then obtained an Associate Degree in Medical Records from Presentation College in 1972. Margaret was employed in various secretarial positions, until she retired. She then moved to Nebraska to live near her three daughters.

Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and challenging word puzzles, such as crossword puzzles and game shows. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Mary Ann McCabe; and five brothers and sisters, William, Helen, Joan, Wallace, Elizabeth and Gregory.

Margaret is survived by her three children, Nancy Haag of Aurora, George (Michelle) Haag of Aberdeen, South Dakota and Melinda Haag of Grand Island; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Vivian Skinner of Elk Grove, CA, Roberta Sweetland of Watertown, SD, Patricia (Jim) Brewer of Ethan, SD and Judy (Jim) Chittick of Advance, NC; three brothers, John (Pat) Sweetland of Santa Fe, NM, Tom Sweetland of Belle Plains, MN and Doug (Karen) Sweetland of Marshall, MN.
