Kenneth Hahn
Kenneth Hahn, age 83, of Adams, formerly of Hampton, died Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, April 18th at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. Chris Kester Beyer will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 P.M. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. The family will receive friends from 5-7. OBITUARY: KENNETH HAHN Kenneth Leo Hahn, the son of Leo E. and Meta Emma Dora (Baack) Hahn, was born at Polk, Nebraska on May 16, 1925 and died in Adams, Nebraska on April 15, 2009, at the age of 83. At a young age Kenneth’s family moved to Hampton. Kenneth attended school in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. In 1949, Kenneth was united in marriage to Marilyn Joyce Wright and they had four children. He worked at Hampton Public Schools as a custodian for 27 years. Kenneth was a member of the Hampton United Lutheran Church. He was an active member in the American Legion, V.F.W. and Hampton Fire Dept. Kenneth played baseball for Clarence Mitchell on the Aurora team and played basketball for the V.F.W. Kenneth was an avid sports fan of all kinds. He was a huge Husker Fan. His family was very important to him. He loved fishing and camping with his children when they were growing up. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Warren Hahn; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann and three brothers, Dwight, Marshall and Roger Hahn. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Marilyn Hahn of Firth; three daughters Ann Troester of Omaha, Cindy (Shawn) Sanne of Loveland, Colorado and Amy (Robert) Braden of Firth and Abigail; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Hahn of Hampton and sister, Ramona Hillman of Syracuse. |
