Richard Hansen

Richard Hansen, age 85, of Aurora, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Memorial Long Term.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Rev. Jack Eske will officiate. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery at Kronborg. OBITUARY: RICHARD HANSEN

Richard Hansen, the son of Walter and Alma (Larsen) Hansen, was born on a farm south of Aurora, Nebraska on January 1, 1916 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 25, 2001, at the age of 85 years.

Richard grew up on a farm four miles east and 2 ½ miles north of Aurora. He attended School District #8 through 8th grade, District #51 for 9th & 10th grade and then attended Hampton High School, where he graduated.

Richard farmed all of his life. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working outdoors.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Kronborg, where he enjoyed singing in the Kronborg Choir and the church fellowship. Richard loved to bowl.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard is survived by his sister, Norma Johnsen and her husband Kenneth of Grand Island; two nephews, Russell Shuey and Steve Shuey ; and many other relatives and friends.
