Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, August 1, 1995 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Edna Hansen

Edna Agneta Hansen, the daughter of Fred and Kristine (Andreasen) Rasmussen, was born March 15, 1907 at Brush, Colorado, and died July 19, 1995 at her home near Kronborg, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 14 days.

Edna grew up and graduated from high school at Brush, Colorado. She then attended teachers college at Greeley, Colorado and taught school for 5 years in Brush.

On June 4, 1932, she was united in marriage to August Hansen at Brush, Colorado. They lived 63 years in the Kronborg and Marquette community, where she taught school in Marquette from 1956 to 1963. One of her great joys in life was teaching, helping young people, and singing.

Edna was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Rasmus, Andrew, Ted and Fred; 5 sisters, Martha, Anna, Elsie, Agnes, and Metha, and several nieces and nephews.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Gus, her son Gerald and his wife Sharon Hansen of Aurora, her daughter Marilyn and her husband Richard Kramme, of Des Moines, Iowa, 8 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
