Jabe Hansen

Jabe Hansen, age 83, of Aurora, died Saturday, December 27, 2008, at Memorial Community Care.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 31st at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Rev. Chris Kester Beyer will officiate. Interment will be in the United Lutheran Church Cemetery north of Hampton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. OBITUARY: JABE HANSEN

Jabe Kenneth Hansen, the son of George W. and Hannah C. (Nilson) Hansen, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on May 27, 1925 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on December 27, 2008, at the age of 83.

Jabe was raised on the family farm north of Hampton. He was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Jabe attended District 81 grade school and graduated from Hampton High School.

Jabe was united in marriage to Marian Quisenberry on September 23, 1956 at Alda, Nebraska.

Following their marriage Jabe farmed on the family farm north of Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Marian Hansen of Aurora; brother Paul Hansen of Aurora; sister Eileen Hansen of Omaha; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
