Paul Hansen

Paul Hansen, age 81, of Aurora, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 10th at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Rev. Chris Kester Beyer will officiate. Interment will be in the United Lutheran Church Cemetery north of Hampton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. OBITUARY: PAUL HANSEN

Paul James Hansen, the son of George W. and Hannah C. (Nilson) Hansen, was born on the family farm north of Hampton, Nebraska on February 5, 1928 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on March 6, 2009, at the age of 81.

Paul was raised on the family farm north of Hampton. He was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Paul attended District 81 grade school and graduated from Hampton High School. He worked on the family farm.

Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Upon returning from the war, Paul, his father and brother Jabe carried on a family farm and livestock operation. Paul cared for his parents at home before they passed away.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jabe Hansen and an infant sister.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Eileen Hansen of Omaha; sister-in-law, Marian Hansen of Aurora; and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
