Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 20, 1985 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Paul J. Hanson

Paul John Hanson, the son of John and Caroline (Jackson) Hanson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 18, 1901, and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska, on November 17, 1985, at the age of 84 years and 29 days.

He grew to manhood in Hamilton County and attended country schools.

On August 12, 1925, he was united in marriage to Julie Shaneyfelt, at Aurora.

He farmed on the family farm northwest of Aurora until his retirement in 1975.

Paul was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, and he enjoyed traveling and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Joseph, Harry, Frank and one in infancy.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Julia; 2 sons, Don of Aurora and Maylon of Grand Island; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
