Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 29, 1983 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Oscar L. Harney

Oscar Ludwig Harney, the son of Axel and Anna (Person) Harney, was born in Rockford, Illinois, on October 17, 1894, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 26, 1983, at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 9 days.

As a small child the family returned to Sweden, and at the age of 17 years he returned to the United States and to Hamilton County.

On December 8, 1917, he was united in marriage to Julia Sandberg, at Aurora, Nebraska. They farmed north of Aurora until 1958, when they retired and moved into Aurora.

Oscar was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are his wife Julia, one son Donald of Marquette, two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Pipher of Omaha and Mrs. Doris Ehn of Central City; three sisters, Signe, Clara and Agnes all in Sweden; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
