Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 28, 1985 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Laurel Haymart

Laurel Charles Haymart, the son of Ambrose and Rosesmary (Mattern) Haymart, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on June 24, 1899, and passed away at Hastings, Nebraska, on January 25, 1985, at the age of 85 years, 6 months and 1 day.

Most of his lifetime was spent in Hamilton County. From 1917 to 1932 he worked on the railroad.

On April 20, 1940, he was united in marriage to Edna Dickey at Central City, Nebraska.

He had worked at various labor jobs and was a painter in Giltner for many years. In 1970 they moved to their present home in Aurora.

“Chief” was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Edna; his son and daughter-in-law Don and Dawn Haymart of Aurora and one granddaughter Taylor Dawn and other relatives and close friends.
