Madge Haymart

Madge Haymart, age 105, of Aurora, died Friday, December 28, 2007, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 31st at the United Methodist Church in Giltner. Rev. Marta Wheeler will officiate. Interment will be in the Giltner Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: MADGE HAYMART

Madge Alice Haymart, the daughter of Ethan and Bertha (Chaney) Kingston, was born in Giltner, Nebraska on November 25, 1902 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on December 28, 2007, at the age of 105.

She grew up in Giltner and attended Giltner Schools where she graduated in 1921. Madge then taught school and later she was employed at the local telephone office and the Giltner State Bank.

On October 26, 1930, she was united in marriage to Stanley Haymart. Following their marriage they lived in various towns in Nebraska and Kansas where her husband’s work took them. Following Stanley’s retirement they returned to Giltner. Stanley passsed away on September 1, 1960.

Madge was a lifetime member of the Giltner United Methodist Church. She was also a member of M.S.C.S., the Giltner Women’s Club and the Giltner Project Club. Madge was the local librarian for ten years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Gordon Kingston, and sisters, Bernice Kingston, Clarice Reynolds and Beatrice Rhodes.

Those left to cherish her memory are her niece, Eleanore (Gordon) Kasch of Minden, Iowa; niece Verla (Arnold) Rosenau of Phoenix, Arizona; nephews Wilbur (Erma) Parks of Hastings and Don (Dawn) Haymart of Aurora; great nieces, one great nephew and many other relatives and friends.
