Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, January 30, 1987 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Stromsburg Cemetery in Stromsburg, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Floyd Headlee

Floyd Headlee, the son of Clarence and Grace (Wisely) Headlee, was born at Osceola, Nebraska, on August 20, 1913, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 27, 1987, at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 7 days.

He graduated from Osceola High School and attended York College. From 1933 to 1961 he was a road maintenance machine operator in Polk County, and from 1961 to 1968 he was road superintendent of District #2 in Polk County. In 1968 he moved to Aurora where he was County Highway Superintendent for Hamilton County, and in 1975 he retired.

On October 30, 1937, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Headman at Papillion, Nebraska.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and one son Gerald Wayne Headlee.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy, 3 sons, Gordon of Seward, Steve of Lincoln and Jim of Norfolk. One daughter Janelle Lindburg of Grand Island, a daughter-in-law Marilyn Headlee and 9 grandchildren.
