Mildred HearrellFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, January 23, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mildred Hearrell Mildred May Hearrell, the daughter of Gust and Emma (Peterson) Carlson, was born on a farm northwest of Aurora on November 23, 1902, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 20, 1991, at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 30 days. She attended rural school district # 82, and then Aurora High School. After high school she was employed by the Hamilton County Telephone Company. On December 17, 1923, she was united in marriage to Lewis B. Hearrell, at Mankato, Kansas. They made their home in Columbus, for a year, where he was employed by Swift and Company, and then transferred to Beatrice for a short time, before moving to a farm south of Aurora for four years, and then to another farm northwest of Aurora. Two daughters were born to this union, both preceded their mother in death. Hazel JoAnn at 10 months, and Helen Louiseat at age 23. Mildred was confirmed in May 1917, at the Siloah Church, northwest of Aurora, and was a member of the Covenant Church in Aurora. She retired from the Hamilton County Telephone Company on January 1, 1968, after 20 years of employment at different intervals. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Those who survive are nieces and nephews and other relatives. |
