Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 23, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Stockham Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Anna Hefty

Anny Betty Hefty, the daughter of Mathias and Elsbeth (Zimmerman) Hefty, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on March 31, 1888, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 19, 1983, at the age of 94 years, 10 months and 18 days.

As a child she moved to Sheboygen, Wisconsin for one year, then to New Glarus, Wisconsin, returning to Stockham in 1907.

She was a member of the Federated Church in Aurora.

Anna worked in Chicago for the Marinella Company in Electrolysis until her retirement, when she returned to Stockham, and later moved to Aurora. In 1970 she entered the Hamilton Manor Care Home in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Mathew and John, three sisters, Elizabeth Lund, Mary Hefty and Ida Ellwanger.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are one sister Rosie Knoble of Aurora and nieces and nephews.
