Alma Heiden

Alma Heiden, age 88, of Hampton died Monday night, November 4, 2002, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 7th at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hampton. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. OBITUARY: ALMA HEIDEN

Alma M. Heiden, the daughter of Carl and Alvina (Dethloff) Dose, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska on October 9, 1914 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on November 4, 2002, at the age of 88.

She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. She was an 8th grade graduate of Zion Parochial School and completed 9th grade at Hordville High School.

On April 28, 1935, she was united in marriage to Clarence E. Heiden at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton by Rev. Hugo Degner. They farmed one mile north of Zion for nine years and ¾ mile east of Zion for 32 years. They retired from farming in 1976, when they moved to Hampton. Clarence and Alma were married for 66 years. Clarence passed away on August 27, 2001.

She was a life-time member of Zion Lutheran Church of Hampton, where she loved her church activities. Alma was a member of the Ladies Aid since 1935. She was also a member of the Hampton Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Harlan and Art Dose and two sisters, Alice Kohtz and Irene Medow.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her three children, Fred Heiden and his wife Ann of Hampton, Mary Swanson and her husband Daryl of Lincoln and Ed Heiden and his wife Laura of Sterling; 9 grandchildren, John Heiden and his wife Sherilyn, Lisa Heiden Hollis and her husband Brent, Courtney Heiden Reed, Katie Heiden, David Swanson and his wife Vicki, Angela Swanson Richeson and her husband Joe, Lindsey Heiden Pohlmeier and her husband Darrell, Nicole Heiden and Andrew Heiden ; 3 step-grandchildren, Lisa Parde, Mike Parde and Jeff Parde; 11 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Krista, David, Stacy and Jared Heiden; Casey and Carter Hollis; Tanner, Carrie and Dyllan Reed and Chiara Richeson.
