Clarence HenriksenFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 2, 1987 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Clarence Henriksen Clarence Merton Henriksen, the son of Levi and Maren (Hansen) Henriksen, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on January 20, 1913, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 29, 1987, at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 9 days. He was raised in the Hampton area, where he attended country school, and graduated from Hampton High School. He farmed west of Aurora before his marriage. On March 12, 1942, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Kindvall, at Aurora. She preceded him in death on June 30, 1987. They continued to farm west of Aurora, and later moved to a farm north of Hampton. In 1954, they moved into Hampton, and Clarence worked at the elevator in Bradshaw. Later he was a school custodian and bus driver at the Hampton School. He managed the Hampton Co-op elevator and later worked at the Osceola Co-op until his retirement in 1972. Clarence was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and had been a 4-H leader in Hamilton County. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his one son Don of Arnold; one daughter, Frances Bamesberger of Henderson; one brother Gail of Lincoln; 4 grandchildren, Matt, Wendy, and Phillip Henriksen and Tanya Bamesberger. |
