Dorothy HenriksenFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, July 3, 1987 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Dorothy Henriksen Dorothy Mae Henriksen, the daughter of Jonas and Tillie (Carlson) Kindvall, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 29, 1917, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 30, 1987, at the age of 70 years, 2 months, and 1 day. She attended country schools near Aurora, and worked for Dr. Don Steenburg as a housekeeper until marriage. On March 12, 1942, she was united in marriage to Clarence Henriksen at Aurora. They farmed west of Aurora, and later north of Hampton, and in 1954 they moved into Hampton. She was head cook for the Hampton Public Schools, and assisted with cooking at the Hampton Parochial School, and also cooked at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora, retiring in 1971. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Reuben Kindvall. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Clarence; one son Donald of Arnold; one daughter Frances Bamesberger of Henderson; one brother James Kindvall of Vancouver, Washington; one sister, Marie Otto of Aurora; 3 grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Roberta Dietrich and many other relatives and close friends. |
