Marianne (Lentz) Heslop

Marianne Heslop, age 64, of Grand Island, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at St. Francis Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 11th at the Assembly of God Church in Aurora. Rev. Jim Garfield will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Obituary: MARIANNE HESLOP

Marianne Blanche Heslop, the daughter of Lloyd and Lucille (Deal) Lentz was born on December 3, 1943 at Aurora, Nebraska and passed away on April 8, 2008 at Grand Island, Nebraska at the age of 64.

Marianne grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School Class of 1961. She attended nursing school in Lincoln to become a registered nurse.

Marianne’s nursing career had her working in Lincoln, Omaha and a Navajo Reservation in Shiprock, New Mexico for eight years, before returning to Aurora. She worked for St. Francis Hospital doing in home healthcare for the elderly and later at the St. Paul Hospital for many years.

She loved knitting and making porcelain dolls. Marianne enjoyed making and decorating cakes and pastries. She especially loved to play Bingo.

She was preceded in death by parents; her sister, Jean Kingston and her aunt Marian Eberhardt Mohr.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Edanne Andrade of Grand Island and Justin Heslop of Hollywood, California; cousins, The Eberhardt Family of Aurora.
