Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 26, 1995 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Maude Hill

Maude Ruth Hill, the daughter of Aaron and Eva (Russell) Hill, was born on the home farm southwest of Aurora, on November 19, 1907, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 23, 1995, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 4 days.

Maude grew up near Aurora and attended Verona school. She moved to Aurora with her parents in the early 1940’s, where she worked several restaurants as well as grocery stores through the years. She was well known for her love and special care for family members, and caring for families in need in the community. She was a special cook and shared with those around her.

Maude was a member of the V.F.W. Club, enjoyed the senior center and was an active member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

Miss Hill was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Oliver and Ira, 4 sisters, Inez Vetter, Ethel Harshman, Mildred Smith and Eva Luthy, and 7 nieces and nephews.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 17 nieces and nephews, and family and many friends.
