Howard Holland
Howard Holland, age 55, of Aurora, died Thursday Morning, June 14, 2007, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 19th at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Aurora. Rev. Sheryl Kester Beyer will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 P.M. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church at 415 South 18th Street, Aurora. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials be made to Aurora High School Scholarship Fund in Howard’s memory. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: HOWARD HOLLAND Howard Holland, the son of Bill D. and Marjorie J. (Stewart) Holland, was born in West Point, Nebraska on December 18, 1951 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on June 14, 2007, at the age of 55. He grew up in Wisner, where he was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church. Howard graduated from Wisner-Pilger High School Class of 1970. Howard attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and went onto graduate from Physical Therapy school at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. On May 14, 1977, he was united in marriage to Cheryl S. Wege in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Howard was a physical therapist at Aurora Memorial Hospital for 26 years. Howard was president of the Husker Beef Club, vice president of Husker Athletic Fund and a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheryl Holland of Aurora; two daughters, Karla Holland of Phoenix, Arizona and Jenna Holland of Omaha; parents, Bill and Marjorie Holland of Wisner; two brothers, Martin (Christine) Holland of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bradley Holland of Tucson, Arizona and three nieces, Joy Morales, Sara Prentice and Kathryn Holland. |
