Marvin HolmbergFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 13, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Marvin Holmberg Marvin Dale Holmberg, the son of Einar and Ida Johnson Holmberg, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 4, 1933, and passed away at his home in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, on January 10, 1983, at the age of 49 years, 7 months and 6 days. He attended District 59 school, Phillips High School and graduated from Aurora High School in 1950. He attended the Lincoln School of Commerce, served in the United States Army in Korea. He graduated from Trinity College in Chicago and Wisconsin School of Banking. He was employed by Burlington Railroad in Chicago a number of years and has been employed at the Harris Savings and Trust Bank for the past 23 years, where he served as Vice-president of the Convenience Banking Division. He was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church and attended the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church while living in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Survivors include his mother Ida of Grand Island, Nebraska; 3 sisters, Ingred Hedlund of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Margit Wagner of Lincoln, Nebraska and Kathryn Holmberg of Grand Island, Nebraska; 3 brothers, Norman of Aurora, Gerald of Tucson, Arizona and Donald of Stromsberg, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews. His father and a sister, Marian, preceded him in death. |
