Esther Hutsell
Esther Hutsell, age 91, formerly of Hampton and Aurora, died Friday, June 4, 2010, at her daughter, Janet’s, home in Oakland. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, June 8th at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. David Dobbertien will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: ESTHER HUTSELL Esther Marie Hutsell, the daughter of Fredrick and Caroline (Kath) Klute, was born at rural Hampton, Nebraska on June 9, 1918 and died in Oakland, Nebraska on June 4, 2010, at the age of 91. She attended Zion Lutheran grade school and graduated from Hampton High School. Esther worked in Lincoln, Omaha, Denver and Montana prior to her marriage to Joe D. Hutsell on February 12, 1950 in Hampton. They lived on the family farm until 1979 when they retired and moved to Aurora. In 1945 after the tragic death of her sister-in-law, Julia Klute, Esther stayed with her brother, Herb, and mothered his four young children: Caroline, Ruth, Fred and Linda for over a year. The children and Esther always maintained a very special relationship. Esther was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, where her faith was a big part of her life that she shared with her family. She loved playing piano. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, son, Steven Hutsell, grandson, Ross Baker and five brothers, Herbert, Walter, Karl, Arnold and Art Klute and two sisters, Lily McGinley and Erma Lohmeier. Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Dave (Sheryl) Hutsell of Hampton, Nancy Moore of Rancho Bernardo, California, Janet Baker of Oakland and Robert (Romanda) Hutsell of Katy, Texas; 9 grandchildren, Nicole Hutsell, Shawn Hutsell, Chelsey Moore, Chad Baker, Clint (Liza) Baker, Kent Baker, Rachel Hutsell, Regan Hutsell and Rosalyn Hutsell and two great-grandchildren, Blake Baker and Scarlett Baker. |
