Philip Jackson
Philip Jackson, age 38, of Grand Island, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Grand Island, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 22nd at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Pastor Seth Leypoldt will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Jackson, the son of Wayne Wessely and Virginia May (Milroy) Jackson, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on September 8, 1964 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on May 17, 2003, at the age of 38 years. He was raised in Marquette, Nebraska where he attended school. He graduated from Marquette High School. Phillip did farm work until he became employed with Swift & Co. in Grand Island, Nebraska. Philip was united in marriage to Joyce Dealey on October 22, 1992 in Grand Island, Nebraska. Philip enjoyed bowling and he loved stock car racing as well as helping Wade Cross work on his stock car. He also enjoyed Monster trucks. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, a niece, and a nephew. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; a son, Kory Lee Jackson; three brothers: Dave (Donna) Jackson and Bill (Kim) Jackson of Aurora, and Scott Jackson of Marquette; five sisters: Anna (Tom) Utter of Aurora, Lois (Russ) Sabata of St. Edward, Nebraska, and Carol (Kim) Moellenberndt of Harvard, Nebraska, Peg Hill of Marquette, Nebraska, and Kim (Rod) Beckman of Trumbull, Nebraska. Other survivors include his cousin, Shirley (Ron) Shilts of Archer, Florida, 12 nephews and 5 nieces. |
