Alice JacobsenFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 17, 1993 at the Hampton United Lutheran Church. Interment was held in the Immanuel Cemetery north of Hampton. OBITUARY: Alice Jacobsen Alice M. Jacobsen, the daughter of Mads and Louise (Mortensen) Madsen, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on September 1, 1896, and died at Brighton, Colorado, on August 10, 1993, at the age of 96 years, 11 months, and 9 days. She was reared and educated in Hamilton County, where her parents had homesteaded. On November 15, 1917, she was united in marriage to Andrew Jacobsen, at Hampton. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1974. Alice worked as an L.P.N. for many years in Omaha, and also worked at the Cornhusker Ordinance Plant in Grand Island, during World War II. They moved to Greeley, Colorado, in 1969, and she moved to Brighton in 1991. She was a charter member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Hampton, and at the time of her death was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greeley, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters, Betty Carpenter and Lois Rust, and one son Merle Jacobsen. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son, Andrew C. Jacobsen of Littleton, Colorado, a daughter Jean Benning ofHemet, California; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren |
