Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 11, 1986 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Doris Jacobsen

Doris Irene Jacobsen, the daughter of Thure and Minnie (Anderson) Ortegren, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 10, 1924, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 8, 1986, at the age of 61 years, 10 months, and 28 days.

The family lived in Aurora and then moved to Stromsburg for a year, and then returned to Marquette where she attended school and graduated. She then worked in the Aurora Hospital for a short time.

On December 21, 1942, she was united in marriage to Arthur Jacobsen at Kearney.

After marriage she worked in an Aurora Bank for a short time until they moved to the farm near Kronborg.

Doris was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg and was a member of the Ladies Guild, which became the Lutheran Church Women. She was also active in the Association of Retarded Citizens in Central City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Ortegren, and one granddaughter, Shelly Jacobsen.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Arthur, two sons, Steven of Marquette and Michael of Aurora, one daughter, Karma Bensen of Laurel, Montana; one brother, Kenneth Ortegren of Vandalia, Illionois; 10 grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
