Marilyn Jacobson

Marilyn Jacobson, age 70, of Aurora, died Monday, March 19, 2001 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Jerry Breese will officiate. Burial will be at the Clay Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M., Tuesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora with the family receiving friends from 5-7 P.M. Memorials may be made to Faith Community Church or Tabitha Hospice. OBITUARY: MARILYN JACOBSON

Marilyn J. Jacobson, the daughter of Harry and Matilda (Ochsner) Hunnell, was born north of Stockham, Nebraska on August 26, 1930 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on March 19, 2001, at the age of 70 years.

She graduated from Sutton Public School and completed her teaching certificate in 1947. Marilyn taught grade school in Stockham and Saronville.

Marilyn was united in marriage to Curtis L. Jacobson of rural Sutton in 1953. They resided and farmed north of Sutton until Curt's death in 1981. Marilyn moved to Aurora in 1982, where she became an employee of First Federal Savings & Loan. She retired in 1994.

Marilyn was a member of the Faith Community Church, where she was active in many church activities. She was also an active volunteer at the Plainsman Museum, the Hospital and the Hospital's Thrift Shop.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis and infant son, Curtis, Jr.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Lana Ebert and her husband Russ of Sutton and Lori Tucker and her husband Ned of Lincoln; a sister, Evelyn Steier and her husband Elvin of Henderson; 4 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
