Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 4, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Cecil James

Cecil C. James, the son of John H. and Beatrice E. (Russell) James, was born on the James farm near Kronborg, Nebraska, on September 30, 1898, and departed this life at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 1, 1983, at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 1 day.

His entire lifetime was spent in Hamilton County, where he farmed until ill health forced him to retire in 1977. He loved his dogs and livestock.

Cecil was a longtime member of the Christian Church in Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Eva Viola James and Cora M. Nelsen.

Those who survive are his brother Clifford of Aurora, 2 nephews, Ralph J. Nelson of New Brighton, Pennsylvania and Harry Lazar of Yakima, Washington, 2 nieces, LaVonne M. Engert and Joyce Reil both of Lexington and other relatives and close friends.
