Funeral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, February 18, 1987 at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Stanley Cemetery in Amherst, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Donald Jameson

Donald W. Jameson, the son of W.D. and Ruth (Rumbeck) Jameson, was born at Amherst, Nebraska, on June 15, 1922, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 15, 1987, at the age of 64 years and 8 months.

On June 11, 1949, Dona was united in marriage to Helen J. Reiter at Kearney. To this union two children were born, James L. of Beatrice and Judy Ann of Arnold. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Helen; children Jim and Judy; daughter-in-law Barb (Newton) Jameson; son-in-law Don Henriksen; grandchildren, Stacy Jameson and Mathew and Wendy Henriksen, and a sister Marjorie Baird of Van Couver, Washington, and many friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother and his parents.

Don and Helen farmed and ranched in the Miller, Nebraska area until 1965, when they moved to Hampton to own and operated D & J Texaco and Helen’s Restaurant. They are currently managers of the York Country Club.

Don enjoyed many other side lines over the years. One of his greatest pleasures of life were his friends and fishing.
