Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 22, 1987 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Earl Jemison

Earl Melvin Jemison, the son of Charles and Martha (Sharp) Jemison, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 21, 1909, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on January 19, 1987, at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 28 days.

He grew up near Giltner, and attended Grove School. He began farming at the age of 14, when his father passed away. A move across the road was the only change of address he had in 77 years.

On February 27, 1979, he was united in marriage to Mildred May Clauff, at Aurora.

Earl was a long time member of the Giltner United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother LeRoy, and one sister Agnes Schrock.

He is survived by his wife Mildred, and 3 sisters, Inez Wright of Lincoln, Caroline Nydegger of New Paltz, New York, and Jean Jemison of Lincoln, and other relatives and close friends.
