C. Denzil Jensen

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 1, 1997 at the Aurora First Christian Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: C. Denzil Jensen

Clarence Denzil Jensen, the son of Ludwig and Christian (Petersen) Jensen, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on October 17, 1908, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 30, 1997, at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 13 days.

He attended country school district # 51, near Hampton. During the depression he moved to California where he worked in a manufacturing company making vault lids.

While in California he met Grace Price, and they were united in marriage on November 3, 1940, at Las Vegas, Nevada. Following the death of his father they moved back to the family farm north of Hampton, where they lived until his retirement in 1974, when they moved into Hampton. In February of 1995, he entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Denzil was a long time member of the Aurora First Christian Church, and had held several offices. He also served as Hamilton County Commissioner, was on the Bader Park Board, and had served as Past Master and Secretary of the Hampton Masonic Lodge #245.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mrytle Mathisen.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Grace of Hampton; one son Garry Jensen and his wife Lois of Hampton; 2 daughters, Darlene Klute and her husband Allen of Hampton, and Dianna Hinkle and her husband Ted of Lincoln; one brother Ivan Jensen and one sister Verna Cox, both of Brithton, Colorado; 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
