Grace Jensen

Grace Jensen, age 82, of Hampton died Monday afternoon, November 29, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Rev. Jay Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be at Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: GRACE JENSEN

Grace P. Jensen, the daughter of David A. and Millie M. (Eagle) Price, was born in Tulare, California on July 9, 1917 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on November 29, 1999, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 20 days.

She grew up in California. Grace graduated from beauty school and worked as a beautician in California.

She was united in marriage to C. Denzil Jensen on November 3, 1940 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They lived in California until 1942, then they moved back to the family farm north of Hampton, where they lived until they retired in 1974. Upon retirement they moved into Hampton. Denzil passed away on January 30, 1997.

Grace enjoyed her gardening. She especially loved roses. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Her parents, husband, three sisters, two brothers and son-in-law, Ted Hinkle, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son Garry and his wife Lois of Hampton; two daughters, Darlene Klute and her husband Allen of Hampton, Dianna Hinkle of Lincoln; two brothers, David Price and Bob Price both of California; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
