Robert Jensen, Sr.Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Robert Jensen, Sr. Robert Warren Jensen, Sr, the son of Nels and Emma (Andersen) Jensen, was born at Walnut, Iowa, on December 19, 1920, and departed this life at Lincoln, Nebraska, on December 23, 1983, at the age of 63 years and 4 days. He grew up near Walnut, Iowa and attended the country schools there. He attended high school at Harlan, Iowa. On March 1, 1942, he married Geraldine Johnson in Iowa. He worked on a farm until entering the Army in 1942 where he served in World War II as a First Lieutenant in the South Pacific until 1945. After leaving the Army he spent a year in California and then moved to Grant Precinct, near Aurora, where he farmed and has since resided. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his father. Those who survive to cherish his memory are his wife, Geraldine; 3 sons, Robert, Jr. of Marquette, Tom of San Antonia, Texas and Rod of Sacramento, California; four daughters, Louise Sigona and Pam Epp both of Aurora, Sharin Brabec of Hastings, Minnesota and Beverly Monson of Saginaw, Texas; 7 brothers, Nels of Kingsville, Maryland, Dale of Yucca Valley, California, William, Charles and Lowell all of Monrovia, California, Andrew of Kingsbury, California and Dewey of Fresno, California; his mother Emma of Monrovia, California; 17 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many other relatives and close friends. |
