Marie Johnson

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, March 21, 1985 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Marie Johnson

Christina Marie Johnson, the daughter of Peter and Minnie (Jensen) Wind, was born at Phillips, Nebraska, on January 6, 1902, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 18, 1985, at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 12 days.

She graduated from Aurora High School in 1922, and grew to womanhood in the Aurora vicinity.

She graduated from Cotner College in Lincoln and then taught school in O’Neill, Hayes Center and Dorchester.

On November 6, 1944, she was united in marriage to Rev. Howard Johnson in Wichita, Kansas. They lived in Kansas until moving to Aurora in 1977.

Mr. Johnson preceded her in death in 1977 and she moved to the Hamilton Manor to maker her home.

She was a member of the Christian Church in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother and a sister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 3 step-sons, Dr. Ralph Johnson of Houston, Texas, Dr. Virgil Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dr. Cleland Johnson of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. One step-daughter, Mrs. Beulah Mikeljack of Longmont, Colorado; two sisters, Ina Wind and Irene Foreman, both of Aurora; step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
