Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 11, 1994 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Mamre Church Cemetery near Marquette, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Hannah Jones

Hannah E. Jones, the daughter of J. Simon and Alfreda (Johanson) Bjorkman, was born at Hordville, Nebraska, on May 2, 1922, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska, on March 7, 1994, at the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 15 days.

She grew up in the Hordville area and graduated from Hordville High School with the class of 1940. She then attended cosmetology school in Grand Island and was a hairdresser for many years.

On May 26, 1942, she was united in marriage to LaMont O. Jones in Burrton, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1989. After their marriage they farmed in Hamilton County.

Hannah was a lifelong member of the Hordville Methodist Church, and later belonged to the Aurora United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Miley Bjorkman and a sister Verna Brooks.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Jim of Sutton and Jack of Westminster, Maryland; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Roxie) Anderson of Grand Island; one brother, Orville Bjorkmand of Aurora; 3 sisters, Dorothy Burke of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Harold (Malinda) Klawonn and Mrs. Don (Gladys) Peterson, both of Aurora; 6 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
