Aller JorgensenFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 10, 1998 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Kronborg, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Aller Jorgensen Aller Joseph Jorgesen, 69, or rural Marquette, Nebraska, went on to greener pastures the evening of November 6, 1998. Aller was born March 2, 1929, on a farm outside of Marquette, to Joe and Cecelia (Williamsen) Jorgensen, and grew up in that area. Aller was a proud veteran of the Korean War, during which he served on the destroyer, the USS Rochester, being honorably discharged in 1952. He devoted much of his life to crop and livestock production in the Marquette area as well as the O’Neill, Nebraska area. He and his wife Joyce also owned and operated AJJ Boat Sales, in Alma, Nebraska, in the ‘70’s and early ‘80’s. Aller was an avid hunter and fisherman, and had a great appreciation for nature. Several days before his death, it was as if he had seen his “heaven”, as he said, “the ducks are flying, the fish are swimming and God is Happy.” He was always quick with a joke or story and loved to make people laugh. He will be dearly missed. Aller is now reunited with many loved ones and friends who have gone before him, including his parents, his brother Gerald, his sister Glenda Riblett, his aunt Myrtle Williamsen, grandparents, Pete and Dorthea Williamsen, and his ex-wife Joyce. Surviving him is his daughter, Julie Jorgensen of Farmington, New Mexico, his step-daughter Gloria Case of Grand Island, his brother Rodger of Longmont, Colorado, and his brother Clyde of Marquette. |
