Arnold Joseph

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 22, 1993 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Hampton.

OBITUARY: Arnold Joseph

Arnold M. Joseph, the son of Albert and Marie (Rhode) Joseph, was born in Polk County, Nebraska, on August 31, 1924, and died at the University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 19, 1993, at the age of 69 years, and 19 days.

At the age of 3, he moved with his parents to a farm northeast of Hampton.

On January 16, 1955, he was united in marriage to Arlene Heine, at Thayer. They lived on his parents farm until 1969, when they moved into Hampton, where he owned and operated Joseph Electric until his retirement in January of 1992. He continued his operation of Joseph Storage and Car Wash until his death.

Arnold was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was a member of the Bible Class. He was also a zone representative for the Lutheran Church Extension Fund, and was an active member of the Hampton Commercial Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Arlene of Hampton; one son Gene and his wife Karen of Hampton; 2 daughters, Betty Shelton and her husband Rodney of Ainsworth, and Anita Shields and her husband Marvin of Lincoln; 4 brothers, Lawrence of Pueblo, Colorado, R.C. and Gerhard of Hampton, and Robert of Billings, Montana; one sister Roberta Sackschewsky of Waco; 3 grandchildren, Amanda and Aaron Joseph and Sarah Shields, and one step-grand daughter Angela Parthemer of Beatrice, and nieces and nephews and many friends.
