Mike Juzyk
Mike Juzyk, age 75, of Aurora, died Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 31st at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Rick Prettyman will officiate. Interment will be in the Richland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. OBITUARY: MIKE JUZYK Mike Juzyk, the son of Mike and Anna (Podruczna) Juzyk, was born in Glenella, Manitoba, Canada on May 23, 1931 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 29, 2006, at the age of 75. Mike grew up in Manitoba, Canada near McCreary. Mike farmed and worked in the mining industry in Northern Canada. In 1961, Mike accepted the Lord as his Savior and after that moved to Three Hills, Alberta, where he attended Prairie Bible Institute and served on staff there for 18 years. I t was there he met his wife, Joyce. Mike was united in marriage to Joyce Berck on August 9, 1969 at Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. They moved to Aurora, Nebraska in 1987. He worked in various occupations, most recently at Overhead Door and Pleasant View Bible Church. Mike was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church, where he was a deacon. He led weekly services at the Hamilton Manor. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, John, Frank and Joe and two sisters, Bernice Terrick and Kay Tyler. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Juzyk of Aurora; three sons, Dwayne (Miriam) Juzyk of Watersweet, Michigan, Tim Juzyk of Aurora and Jeff (Stacie) Juzyk of Aurora; three daughters, Esther (Craig) Bergen of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, Michelle Juzyk of Aurora and Deb Juzyk of Oak Brook, Illinois; 7 grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Sulyk of McCreary, Manitoba and Ann Sawchuk and many other relatives and friends. |
