Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 28, 1994 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Dorothy Kaura

Dorothy Alice Kaura, the daughter of William and Alice (Reed) Bentley, was born at Wymore, Nebraska, on November 20, 1912, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 25, 1994, at the age of 81 years, 2 months, and 5 days.

When she was a child the family moved to Omaha, where she grew up and graduated from High School, attended business college, and later worked at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

In 1941, she was united in marriage to Arnold Kaura at Omaha. They moved to Aurora in 1953, and she began working for the Hamilton County Telephone Company as a receptionist and bookkeeper in October of 1956, until her retirement 30 years later in February of 1986. For the past several years she has resided at the Memorial Care Center at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Dorothy was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and belonged to the Business and Professional Women’s Organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Warren and Fred Bentley; 3 sisters, Edna Bentley, Ada Griffiths, and Frances Palacek.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Richard of Mesquite, Texas, and James of Des Moines, Iowa, and 4 grandchildren.
