Everett Kelly

Everett Kelly, age 95, of Aurora died Sunday afternoon, December 2, 2001, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday at Higby Mortuary. Rev. Mary McQueen will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. OBITUARY: EVERETT KELLY

Everett Powell Kelly, the son of John W. and Edna (Powell) Kelly, was born in Maysville, Missouri on August 25, 1906 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on December 2, 2001, at the age of 95 years.

He grew up in Maysville and attended two years of high school at Maysville High School.

Everett was united in marriage to Florine W. Williams on October 14, 1931 at Lincoln. Everett owned a shoe repair shop in Aurora from 1931 to 1939. Everett served in the Navy during World War II. Later, Everett was a tool and die maker. He worked at this in Lincoln at Cushman Motors and in Kansas City, Missouri at Remington Arms, Westinghouse Corp. and Redman Tool & Die. In 1981, they retired and returned to Aurora. Florine passed away on March 7, 1999.

Everett was a member of the First Christian Church and he was a Masonic Lodge Member.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers, William Louis Kelly, Allen Kelly and Laurence Kelly.

Everett is survived by three sister-in-laws, Mary Peetzke of Lincoln, Gladys Weekly of Grand Island and Kathy Williams of Chadron and nieces and nephews.
