Malinda Klawonn
Malinda Klawonn, age 89, of Aurora, formerly of Bradshaw, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, April 27th at the Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. OBITUARY: MALINDA KLAWONN Malinda Rose Klawonn, the daughter of John Simon and Alfreda (Johanson) Bjorkman, was born in Hordville, Nebraska on November 9, 1917 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on April 24, 2007, at the age of 89. She was raised in Hordville and attended Hordville Public Schools graduating in 1935. Following high school she attended Nebraska Central College in Central City. Following her graduation she taught schools in York County. Malinda was united in marriage to Harold Klawonn on May 22, 1942 at Burton, Kansas. Following their marriage she taught schools in York and Hamilton Counties. Malinda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. She served in the Ladies Missionary League and the Zion Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Plainfield Extension Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Harold of Aurora; son Dennis (Betty) Klawonn of Lincoln; daughter Linda (David) DeRosear of Hastings; brother Orville (Shirley) Bjorkman of Aurora; sister Gladys Peterson of Aurora; Grandchildren Brent (Lisa) Underwood of Hastings, Tracy (Cullen) West of Lincoln, Scott (Tina) Underwood of Omaha, Kelly Klawonn of Chicago, IL and Angie (Josh) Osborn of Axtell, four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. |
