Wilbert KleinFuneral Services were held 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, March 15, 1994 at the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Interment was held in the Harvard Cemetery in Harvard, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Wilbert Klein Wilbert Fred Klein, the son of Fred and Katherine (Trautman) Klein, was born near Wolbach, Nebraska, on June 15, 1919, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 12, 1994, at the age of 74 years, 8 months, and 27 days. He grew up and attended school near Wolbach. On June 11, 1944, he was united in marriage to Helen Nelson, at her parent’s home near Harvard. After their marriage they farmed near Wolbach before moving to Loveland, Colorado, briefly. They returned to Wolbach, and in 1955, they moved to the Giltner and Harvard area. In 1983, they moved to their present home in Aurora. Wilbert was a 4-H leader, received the long time pork producer award in 1986, and was a member of the Hamilton County Pork Producers. He served on the ASCS committee and the Hamilton County Extension Board, and was a seed corn dealer and operated a seed corn warehouse. He enjoyed his hobby of wood crafting. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith, and in 1956 he joined the United Church of Christ, in Harvard, and served on the church council. After they moved to Aurora he was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters, a brother, and a son David. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Helen of Aurora; 2 daughters, Karen and her husband Ken Moncrief of Clay Center, Patti and her husband Dave Marshall of Overland Park, Kansas; 5 sons, Garry and his wife Chris of Hastings, Ralph and his wife Chris of Giltner, Gordon and his wife Chris of Giltner, Doug and his wife Vicki of Lincoln, Randy and his wife Theresa of Lincoln; a sister Thelma Steele of Wolbach, 15 grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and friends. |
